Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Operating Room registered nurse (RN) in Burlington, Vermont. The candidate will be responsible for supporting a diverse surgical team within a busy operating suite. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Burlington, Vermont
  • Schedule: Rotating Day and Evening shifts; 10 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Valid nursing license
    • Prior travel experience required
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a surgical unit
    • Large trauma Level 1 experience required
    • EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
    • Ability to circulate and scrub during procedures; both skills checklists must be included in the application packet
    • Strong experience needed in general operating room specialties such as orthopedics, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, cardiovascular, trauma
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Assignment duration of 13-16 weeks
    • No block schedules for any reason
    • Bi-weekly orientations on Monday
    • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
    • All work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) must be complete in order to submit application
    • Assignment may involve Monday to Sunday work with flexibility required for weekends and call shifts
    • Reliable transportation (personal vehicle or rental) strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible
