Description
Job Summary: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ED RN) Tucson, Arizona
In the Emergency Department setting, the Registered Nurse provides shift accountability for patient care by applying the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The role uses critical thinking and scientific judgment to anticipate, plan, and deliver safe care, while maintaining clinical competency through continuing education. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, 12 shift hours; minimum 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 2 years of experience working in the Emergency Department (Emergency Room).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Cerner; Trauma Level III certification; stroke receiving and STEMI receiving experience.
- Additional Information: Demonstrates leadership and delegates patient care priorities according to the education and experience of assigned staff. Provides direction and supervision of personnel delivering patient care. Trauma Level III and stroke/STEMI receiving capabilities are part of the clinical environment; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is not required, but is recommended.
