Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina, is sought to join a dedicated healthcare team on a specialized oncology and womens surgical floor. The role involves providing exemplary patient care in a fast-paced environment that features standard unit equipment and Cerner electronic medical records. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Shift: Nights
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and no prior experience requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications: Chemo Certification and experience with procedures such as pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 24-bed oncology/ womens surgical unit staffing 42 team members, including RNs, CNAs, and a Clinical Nurse Coordinator. Patient ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:5. Candidates should be team players willing to learn and adhere to hospital policies, including weekend shifts and rare on-call duties.
