Job Summary:
The profession is Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized peri-anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan in a 28-bed unit. Candidates are required to bring their active Maryland license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00 and 19:30 - 07:30)
- Schedule: Rotating 3, 12-Hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Maryland RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications; 2 years of ICU experience; previous charge RN experience; travel experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, trauma level I/II/III experience, community hospital experience, and ICU background
- Responsibilities include titration of vasopressors, airway management, ventilated patient care, blood product administration, and fluid resuscitation
- Additional Information: The unit operates 24/7, providing care across a broad spectrum of surgical and medical specialties. Nurses may be asked to assist with pediatric patients and float within scope to other units as needed.
