Job Summary
Operating Room registered nurse (RN) position in Round Rock, Texas. This contract role is scheduled for a 13-week assignment with potential varied shifts based on operational needs, including day shifts. Candidates must bring their professional license on the first day of work. The organization is seeking highly skilled and adaptable RNs to join their dynamic surgical team.

Job Details

• Location: Round Rock, Texas
• Schedule: Varied based on need, including 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Valid nursing license
  • Basic general operating room knowledge of more than one year
  • Vascular surgery experience (both RN and Tech)
  • General surgery, orthopedic, and neuro surgery experience (both RN and Tech)
  • If candidate is for Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), must have at least two years of CVOR experience, including all adult open heart cases, open and endovascular cases such as AAA, TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, EVAR, and open vascular surgeries
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma experience (both RN and Tech)
  • Vascular surgery experience (both RN and Tech) including fistula creations and endarterectomy surgeries
• Additional Information:
  • Candidates without the specified skills will not be considered.
  • The unit features 11 operating rooms with varied equipment, including robotic and hybrid vascular rooms.
  • Typical procedures include complex cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, robotic, and vascular surgeries.
  • Dress code requires light blue scrubs; scrubs are provided.
  • Flexibility and collaborative attitude are valued, including willingness to assist with orientations or occasionally work additional hours.
  • The health care team comprises approximately 40 staff members, working in multiple shifts with scheduled staffing configurations.
  • EMR system used is Meditech.
