Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Neuro units in Tallahassee, Florida. This position involves providing patient care within a designated Medical Surgical Neuro division, with floating responsibilities across related units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment is immediate with an anticipated start date of June 29, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Address: Tallahassee, Florida
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or Compact license, at least 2 years of recent clinical experience with a preference for 1 year neuro-specific, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Travel experience is required, with at least one prior assignment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, neuro-specific experience, EPIC training during TMH orientation, and phlebotomy skills as RN and Patient Care Technician responsibilities.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: This role requires floating across all units within the Medical Surgical division. Prior travel experience is mandatory; candidates must not have a Tallahassee address to be considered. The manager cannot guarantee block scheduling, and no holiday Request for Time Off (RTO) or more than 7 consecutive days of RTO is permitted without approval. EPIC training is scheduled during the second half of the day at TMH orientation; candidates may test out or complete full training as needed. Travel pairs are not available unless explicitly requested by the facility. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center, designated comprehensive stroke center, and chest pain center with 772 beds. The unit has 33 beds and a nurse-patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6.
