Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical (MS) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves providing care on a Short Term Acute Care unit, with float capabilities between units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This assignment requires a minimum of one year of healthcare experience.
Job Details:
- Location: Lubbock, Texas
- Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS)
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Education: Valid State License (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Experience: At least 1 year of healthcare experience, with previous charge experience preferred
- Skills: Bariatric surgery, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Bowel obstruction management, Central line blood draw, Chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), Colostomy/ileostomy care, Feeding tube care, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Insulin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Ortho trauma, Oxygen administration, PCA, Peripheral Line Care, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Short Stay (23-hour unit), Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Total joint replacement, Tracheostomy care, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Post-op experience, and Epic (Hardstop).
- Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Candidates must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
- Submittal Requirements: Must include response to whether the candidate has worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem, with location and dates. Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required prior to start.
