Description
Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role involves providing specialized nursing care within the ICU setting, following established care plans, and supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. This is a 13-week assignment with shifts scheduled during daytime hours.
Job Details:
- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to the first shift; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to the first shift for CIRH only; at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ICU nursing preferred
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The RN performs patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, participates in interdisciplinary team communication, initiates discharge planning, and provides direct patient care with an emphasis on safety and quality outcomes. The role also involves supervising ancillary staff, maintaining communication with management regarding supplies and equipment, and pursuing ongoing professional development.
