Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Emergency Department (ED) care is sought for a facility located in Santa Rosa, California. The role involves providing holistic and individualized nursing care to a diverse patient population across all ages, including acute, trauma, medical, and pediatric cases. The candidate will be responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, including patient/family education and care transitions in an acute setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 3 x 12 nights, with start times from 6:00 PM to 4:30 PM, every other weekend rotation, no on-call requirement
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, PALS certifications, at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience, EPIC electronic medical record experience, valid CA RN licensure, uploaded Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks, and two references obtained within the last year
  • Certifications: Valid BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, COVID-19 vaccine, and Flu vaccine required prior to start
  • Skills & Experience: Experience with abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, burns, ventilated patient care, central line care, chest tube management, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, stroke and trauma certification facilities, and management of complex emergency cases
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Additional Information: This position requires compliance with vaccination policies, completion of onboarding labs within 3-5 days, and submission of all compliance documents at least 10 days prior to the start date
