Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery Department, located in Phoenix, Arizona. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Department
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; experience in the clinical area for which they are applying; minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
- Additional Information:
- Employees working at facilities such as behavioral health hospitals, hospice, or skilled nursing facilities must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it during employment.
- Employees working at the university medical center campus must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it during employment.
- Core Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs.
- Formulate and revise a plan of care based on assessment data and multidisciplinary input.
- Deliver direct patient care, coordinate, delegate, and supervise care activities within policies and standards.
- Evaluate patient and family responses, document care and outcomes, and revise plans as necessary.
- Provide care based on the best evidence, participate in research activities, and contribute to unit or facility quality improvement initiatives.
- Interact with all levels of staff, patients, families, and external contacts to ensure effective communication and support.
