Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) at a facility located in Wichita, Kansas. The position involves providing comprehensive med/surg care with a focus in oncology, on a night shift schedule. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a current hospital acute care RN license with at least 1 year of experience in Oncology nursing, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and current certification in chemotherapy administration and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system, CPN (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification, and additional oncology-specific certifications are advantageous.
Additional Information: The unit is a med/surg oncology and general surgery unit with 24 beds and 19 staff members, including a strong charge nurse team. The unit uses a primary nursing model, handles chemotherapy only by chemo-certified nurses, and operates as a remote tele unit providing diverse patient care. The hospital is recognized as a top 100 nationally ranked hospital and is a magnet-designated facility emphasizing team collaboration and high-quality patient care.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
