Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse specializing in night shifts is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position involves providing advanced patient care within a PCU setting, focusing on cardiovascular and post-operative patient management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant healthcare setting; experience with cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation, and invasive procedures is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience and proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit has 55 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4-5 for nights. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The patient diagnoses primarily include CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and other cardiovascular conditions.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have a COVID-19 and flu vaccination. Labs must be completed within 48 business hours after contract signing.
