Description
Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse Santa Monica, California
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for supporting open-heart surgical procedures in an acute care setting. This role includes maintaining sterile practices and assisting during cardiovascular services, while ensuring readiness to float as required within the state. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift; 8 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week. Call required: up to 18 call shifts in a 6-week period.
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand); Basic Life Support (BLS); 1 year of related experience; charting experience required with Epic; prior relevant experience with CVOR/open-heart services such as coronary procedures and/or structural heart/cardiovascular interventions.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma level experience is not specified.
- Additional Information: Epic charting; interdisciplinary support for adult and geriatric patients; commits to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day); all travelers are expected to float between facilities within a given state, and refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Los Angeles fire card within the last 30 days is required.
