Job Summary:
Infusion Nurse in Crescent City, California. This position involves providing outpatient infusion services, including chemotherapy and specialized procedures, in a healthcare facility that supports adult patient care. Candidates are required to bring their current license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Facility Location: Crescent City, California
- Schedule: Days 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Chemo Therapy and Immunotherapy Provider Card (ONS/ONCC); at least 2 years of related experience; experience with charting systems, preferred Epic; community hospital or infusion center experience preferred; must be able to go in for lab work within 3-5 days of signing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, Epic charting experience, and two or more years of infusion experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Outpatient infusion services, including chemotherapy, with specific emphasis on managing ports, administering blood and blood products, handling cytotoxic spills, and monitoring side effects. Candidates should be capable of managing complex oncology patients, recognizing abnormal lab values, and supporting patient and family education.
