Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a neuroscience critical care unit supporting both ICU and intermediate care levels. The role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage complex neurovascular and stroke conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license; must pass Telemetry test prior to start.
- Education/Experience: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty they are submitting to; ICU experience required; Neurosurgery experience preferred.
- Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours minimum per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Work on a 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit caring for adult patients with neurovascular, neurological, and stroke conditions, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysms, and more. Utilize equipment such as external ventricular drains (EVDs) and CereLink monitors. Candidates must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting.
