Job Summary:
Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in Phoenix, Arizona. This position involves floating across multiple critical care units including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment. The role focuses on providing specialized pediatric critical care within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Schedule: Evenings shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Current State of Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license or an RN license from a multistate license region with the ability to establish licensure per Arizona law prior to start date
- Two years experience as an RN in pediatric critical care
- Associate or bachelors degree in nursing
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) hospital experience
- Childrens hospital experience
- Additional Information:
- Flu vaccination is required October through April; COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not mandatory.
- Flu exemption applications must be approved before start date.
- May float daily between PICU, CVICU, and NICU at two campuses.
- Will not float to Emergency Department (ED) or Inpatient Psychiatry.
- Onboarding prerequisites include completion of LMS courses, submission of a 12-panel drug screen including Fentanyl, and vaccination compliance.
- This assignment involves floating between the main campus at 1919 E Thomas Road and the Arrowhead location at 19007 N. 67th Avenue in Glendale, Arizona.
