Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures in Denver, Colorado. This role involves assisting in surgical operations, maintaining sterile environments, and handling surgical supplies and equipment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; graduation from a formal, accredited surgical technologist program; US military training may substitute for formal training; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; at least 1 year of obstetrics (OB) experience as a Surgical Technician; 2 years of Surgical Technician experience with a strong emphasis on OB.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Performs scrub duties and maintains sterile supplies and sterile technique. Assists in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. Assembles, organizes, and completes case carts according to doctor preference lists. Provides instrumentation, suture, and all supplies as requested and maintains a sterile environment. May assist surgeons by passing instruments during cases. Counts sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique and established policy. Assists in handling specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps in accordance with established policy and standards of practice. Assists with timely room turnover, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and equipment care. May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications and be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
