Job Summary
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) floor position located in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves providing patient care in a unit that handles various diagnoses such as cancer, diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, and general surgery. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details
- Location: Lewiston, Maine
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Certifications include Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) and Chemo Certification (preferred but not required); minimum of 2 years of experience; experience with Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps; knowledge of cancer, diabetic, pneumonia, and general surgical conditions; proficiency with EMR systems such as Omnicell and Cerner; and excellent communication skills using SBAR methodology
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology, wound care, and adult patient populations
- Additional Information:
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Equipment: Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
- Hiring Profile: Individuals who are flexible in their scheduling and committed to providing relationship-based patient care
- Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
