Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse (RN) in Roswell, New Mexico. The position involves providing patient care on a general medical-surgical unit with occasional float coverage to ICU or step-down units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Roswell, New Mexico
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred, 1+ years of clinical experience, ability to float as needed, and candidates must be registered with the state of New Mexico for the fingerprint process
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical, ICU, or step-down units
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Additional Information:
- Fingerprints are required for all travelers in New Mexico and can take several weeks to process
- Every other weekend shift is required
- May occasionally float to ICU or step-down units to handle overflow or specific patient needs
- Scrubs: Royal Blue
- Patient ratio: 1:6, sometimes 1:7
- Position is a contractor replacement
