Description

Job Summary:
Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized emergency care to pediatric patients, including those in neonate, adolescent, infant, adult, and geriatric age groups. Candidates are required to bring their California Registered Nurse license on the first day. The position requires working rotating 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license, BSN degree, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neuro Critical Care Certification (NCC) minimum of 1.5 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience and 2+ years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience required.
  • Schedule: 12-hour variable shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience, charge nurse experience, interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as candidates must be willing and able to Float to other UCSF units and facilities as needed.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be willing and able to Float to other UCSF units and facilities as needed. Completed references from the most recent employer are required at the time of submittal. Vaccinations include COVID-19 with booster (required), and Flu (status unknown). Candidates booked for Tuesday start dates in nursing/inpatient nursing positions may not start sooner than scheduled unless approved by the project manager. Module completion (non-billable, included in NBO hours) varies by unit and position, ranging from 1 to 24 hours before start.
