Job Summary:
The registered nurse (RN) specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is needed in Fullerton, California. This role involves providing post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from various surgical procedures. Candidates must bring their California nursing license on the first day of shift. The position requires the ability to work any weekday from Monday to Friday, with a schedule of 10 hours per shift.

Job Details:

• Location: Fullerton, California
• Schedule: The shift is Monday through Friday, with a 10-hour workday and a minimum of 40 hours per week. Must be open to working any days within the Monday to Friday schedule.
• Required Qualifications: California nursing license in hand, ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU required. If first-time traveler, must possess 3 or more years of PACU experience. Experience with Meditech and Epic electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a broad spectrum of surgical procedures, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, abdominoplasty, carotid endarterectomy, craniotomy, and spine surgery.
• Additional Information: The nurse must be willing to commit to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at time of submission, and references covering at least one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required prior to start. The position involves working in a general surgery, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery setting, supporting a patient census of approximately 40.
