Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Washington, District of Columbia. The position involves night shifts working three 12-hour shifts per week, with a focus on providing comprehensive care to pregnant patients including those in labor, scheduled procedures, and triage. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

  • Location: Washington, District of Columbia
  • Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 3 days per week, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the district, 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) - Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring certification, experience with LRDP (Labor and Delivery Rapid Response Program) and labor with PP (Prenatal Provider) experience, familiarity with Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems.
  • Additional Information: On call requirement of one shift per week, must live at least 50 miles away from the facility. The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and cesarean section). Equipment used includes fetal monitors, with documentation primarily via Cerner and Fetalink.
