Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Erie, Pennsylvania. The RN maintains the delivery of quality patient care by following established care plans, supervising support staff, and ensuring patient safety. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Erie, PA
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift; a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; valid nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania; applicable educational credentials.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, communicates patient status effectively, initiates discharge planning, and participates in patient rehabilitation programs. Supervises ancillary nursing staff and contributes to team building. Maintains compliance with safety procedures and hospital policies. Assumes charge responsibility after orientation and supports professional development through continuing education.
