Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) - New Britain, Connecticut. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Medically Complex Rehabilitation environment, with cardiac monitoring and respiratory/vented patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a 12-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Required Qualifications: RN license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience, with previous travel experience preferred. Experience with respiratory/vented patients is strongly preferred but not required.
• Additional Information: The role requires the nurse to handle IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight catheter, Foley care, port access, central line dressing, and wound measurements. Nurses will float between acute care units, specifically MRU and CMU.
