Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Burlington, Vermont. This assignment begins on 07/13/2026 and requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. The role involves rotating day and night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Candidates must meet the specified qualifications and be flexible with scheduling.

  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC (within the past 2 years); minimum two years of ER nursing experience; prior experience in large, teaching facilities; recent travel experience preferred but may be waived if the candidate has worked in larger, teaching facilities and more than one ER.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with de-escalation training such as CPS, MOAB, ProAct, or other similar programs.
  • Additional Information: The facility operates Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling. Bi-weekly orientations are scheduled on Mondays, with the next available orientation on 07/20. Candidates must explain all employment gaps exceeding 90 days and complete all work history documentation, including bed count, EMR, and facility type. Public transportation is not accessible; reliable personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended, with all-season or snow tires during November through April.
