Description

Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse (RN) position located in Rochester, Minnesota. This role involves coordinating nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients across diverse medical and surgical specialties, including transplant units and patients with complex multi-organ conditions. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, and a minimum of one year of travel nursing experience is necessary.

Job Details:

  • Location: Rochester, MN
  • Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week, with day/night rotation shifts from 0700-1930 and 1900-0730, every third weekend required
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as needed
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN license by applicable state requirements; at least 2 years of recent acute nursing experience, including 1 year of recent travel RN experience; two years PICU RN experience; experience with Level 1 trauma and intubated patient care; solid organ transplant experience strongly preferred; BLS and PALS certifications; ECG exam during orientation that must be passed to continue assignment; minimum education includes graduate or student status from an accredited nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Critical care certification such as CCRN or TCTC (strongly preferred).
  • Additional Information: The unit serves a diverse patient population, including transplant and complex multi-organ patients, with a need for floating staff as necessary; orientation includes an ECG exam which must be passed.
