Job Summary
Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, Wisconsin. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide medical-surgical care with telemetry monitoring for adult patients across multiple specialty areas. This role includes clinical responsibilities such as telemetry observation and patient care related to tracheostomy support and surgical recovery. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating day/night shifts (07001930 or 19000730), SundaySaturday, with weekend rotation; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Wisconsin (WI) or compact RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Epic experience; at least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to; tracheostomy and surgical experience; ability to meet skill ranking expectations for at least 2 of the following specialties: Gynecology, Urology, Plastics, or Colorectal; ability to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience; trauma-related experience in a high-acuity environment.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring on the unit, tracheostomy care/management, and post-procedure/surgical care. Clinical skills may include blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy management/care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), feeding tube care and management, heparin, insulin and IV insulin protocols, peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line management, surgical drain care, and flap management. Flu vaccination is required (medical or religious exemptions only). Pass/fail telemetry testing with strict passing criteria is required prior to start. Travelers may be required to float as needed.
