Job Summary
Pediatric Registered Nurse (Pediatric Floor), Olympia, Washington The organization is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to support pediatric patients within a unit located within the Postpartum Unit. Responsibilities include providing pediatric medical-surgical care for diagnoses such as respiratory infections, asthma/bronchiolitis, failure to thrive, jaundice, and post-surgical care, as well as supporting patients with feeding, oxygen delivery needs, and specialized respiratory equipment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: 3x12 Day Shift; 36.0 hours per week minimum
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); charting experience with Epic (Epic required); pediatric experience with a minimum of 1 year
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience
- Role Responsibilities: Provide pediatric medical-surgical care and support patient needs related to dysrhythmia management (including interpretation), hyperbilirubinemia care, breastfeeding support/handling of breast milk, and feeding support (bottle, breast, gavage); perform central line/implanted line care; manage oxygen delivery systems and BiPAP/Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP); follow isolation precautions and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Additional Information: Pediatric unit is located within the Postpartum Unit; may include floating between the Postpartum Unit and Special Care Nursery; special equipment includes Vapotherm High Flow
