Description

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department in Brattleboro, Vermont, is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a night shift position at a level one low-risk birth center. The role involves assessing the health status of obstetrical patients, establishing nursing diagnoses, planning and implementing care, and evaluating responses to interventions. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse license by the State of Vermont; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); active Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification highly preferred; active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification highly preferred; experience with labor, delivery, postpartum, cesarean sections, epidurals, electronic charting, venipuncture proficiency; minimum of 1 year of current Labor and Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) experience (experience with 400+ deliveries per year preferred).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with C-Sections, epidurals, electronic charting, venipuncture proficiency; travel experience.
  • Certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA), STABLE, AFM
  • Experience: 0+ years minimum required, with a focus on obstetrical care.
  • Additional Requirements: Resume with gaps over 30 days defined; skills checklist specific to the discipline (within the last year); two supervisory references from the last two years of employment.
  • Start Date: 06/29/2026
