Job Summary:
The location is in Farmington, Connecticut. This position is for a Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in High Risk Obstetrics and Newborn Care. The role involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Department
- Shift Hours: 12 hours (Nights) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Schedule: Nights; every other weekend Fri/Sat; call rotation required; 4-hour mandation block if needed
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 5 years experience in Labor and Delivery High Risk; prior OB experience; prior travel experience; Education requirements are not specified otherwise. The role is located in Farmington, Connecticut.
- Preferred Qualifications: Fetal monitoring certification is preferred but not required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Patient ratios: 1:3 on Labor and Delivery; 1:3 antepartum; 1:6 mother/baby couplet
- Unit features: 12 postpartum rooms, 4 swing/antepartum rooms, 5 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, 2 operating rooms
- Patient population: High risk
- Equipment used: Alaris pumps, epidural pumps, and PAS lower extremity pumps
- EMR: Epic
- Med System: Pysis
