Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves providing level medical-surgical care to adult patients, with the possibility of floating to other units. Candidates are required to bring their Hawaii Nursing License on the first day. This is a 13-week assignment scheduled to start on 07/20/2026, with shift flexibility for day or night shifts. The work schedule is 36 hours per week following the initial orientation week.

Job Details:

• Location: Hilo, Hawaii
• Schedule: Day or Night Shift Availability (TBD), scheduled 36 hours per week following first full week of orientation. Must be flexible.
• Required Qualifications: Hawaii Nursing License, BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred, minimum of 2+ years of experience in med surg or higher level of care, current Hawaii license must be obtained by the start date.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification.
• Responsibilities: Providing med/surg level care to patients aged 18 and over; may float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units.
• Equipment Utilized: Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Pyxis, wound vacuum, chest tubes.
• Department-specific Training: Included during the first week of orientation.
• Additional Information: Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointments. No holiday request for time off.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
