Job Summary:
A registered nurse position in the Labor and Delivery Department in State College, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to women and infants, including assessment, planning, and education. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and demonstrate strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and professional conduct.

Job Details:

  • Location: State College, Pennsylvania
  • Shift Hours: 12 hours per day
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Start Date: 06/29/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited registered nurse program; current Pennsylvania RN licensure; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification renewed every two years; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification renewed every two years; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification renewed every two years.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Effectively functions as a team member and as a liaison between patient and staff; supports harmonious communication; demonstrates strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills; maintains a highly professional communication style; shows a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and an even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will assist women and infants to attain and maintain optimal health, provide education on womens health issues and childbirth, and support families through various stages of care. Maintaining knowledge of professional issues and ongoing clinical skills development is essential.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
