Description

Job Summary
Mother/Baby Couplet Care Registered Nurse (L&D MOM BABY) Charleston, South Carolina. This position provides professional nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established standards and the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Day shift 7a7:30p; required to work holidays and weekends as needed; may be required to float to other facilities as needed. Minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license currently in the state of South Carolina or a current compact/multi-state RN license; graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Registered Nurse experience supporting level 2 nursery care (minimum as stated in the posting); BSN preferred (highly desired) and/or required within five (5) years of hire date (per posting guidance).
  • Preferred Qualifications: BSN preferred (highly desired); experience with CPAP, hypoglycemic management, NAS, and high flow; Level II or Level III NICU experience.
  • Additional Information: Provides nursing care in a level 2 special care nursery and requires the ability to apply critical thinking and communicate clearly in emergency situations. Work environment includes frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting/moving patients (intermittent lifting/moving/carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs), with exposure to blood and body fluids and potential infectious materials.
