Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Phoenix, Arizona. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity neonatal care in a Level 4 NICU setting, supporting complex patient needs including premature infants and cardiac-related conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Day shifts (12-hour shifts); 36 minimum hours per week. Every 3rd weekend is required, with holidays based on unit coverage; 3 of 6 major holidays.
  • Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (license to submit); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Cardiac STABLE plus; Minimum 3 years of experience in NICU (with a requirement of 2 years of Level 4 experience); Cerner experience preferred/required is not specifiedCerner charting is referenced for documentation.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience is preferred.
  • Responsibilities: Maintain sterile technique during routine procedures, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes; perform additional clinical tasks including lifts, restraints, and wound care as part of required competencies and unit processes; support care for NICU patients including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO and cooling.
  • Additional Information: Day shift coverage is referenced as 77 shifts; Charge Nurse coverage includes a no patient assignment role and serves as a high-risk RN resource.
