Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Phoenix, Arizona. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit designated as Level 4. The role requires competence with NICU-related skills and adherence to unit processes, including required onboarding lab training. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour nights; 36 hours per week; every 3rd weekend; 3 of 6 major holidays
- Required Qualifications: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse experience (minimum 3 years required); 2 years of Level 4 experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Cardiac STABLE plus
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience
- Additional Information: The unit expects nurses to be competent in maintaining sterile field practices. Day 1 training includes required SIMs Lab participation for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes; exceptions apply for NyICU and ED as noted by unit guidance. Lifts, restraints, and wound care may be included as educational-based training depending on unit equipment and policies. Floating may be required to mother baby and labor care for babies only. High-risk RN resource responsibilities are included, with charge nurse duties on the unit and no patient assignment.
