Description
Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (Cardiovascular) Registered Nurse (RN) Rockford, IL.
The organization is seeking an experienced RN to provide clinical care across Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular, Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, and Step-Down ICU units. The role requires extensive cardiac experience and ICU experience, with willingness to float to Medical Surgical if needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current Illinois Registered Nurse (IL) license; Basic Life Support (CPR); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings.
- Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients; administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act; documents according to standards of care; develops, initiates, and executes an individualized patient plan of care, including patient and family instruction; participates in department or unit performance improvement activities (may include shared governance); utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patients longitudinal plan of care; uses critical thinking for patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
