Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Technician (ORT) in Stockton, California. This position involves supporting a busy operating room with a variety of surgical cases, including general surgery, vascular, orthopedic, endoscopic, and urology procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role requires a minimum of two years of surgical technician experience and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Job Details:
- Location: Stockton, California
- Certifications Required: BLS Certification
- Type of Cases: General surgery, vascular, orthopedic, endoscopic, urology (excluding trauma)
- Number of Operating Rooms: 8 rooms plus 2 Heart rooms, totaling approximately 23-25 cases per day
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour days, every other week, with first to float as needed
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 07/06/2026
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; 2 years of surgical technician experience; certification in NBSTA or equivalent; ability to scrub in on general, orthopedic, and plastics cases; EMR experience with Epic; license not required to submit; no state license held currently; minimal experience in travel preferred but not required.
- Additional Information: Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of experience in surgical procedures, including equipment and EMR familiarity. Past travel experience is not required. Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system experience preferred.
