Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse position in the Champlain Valley area. This role involves night shift coverage with a focus on providing high-quality emergency care. The assignment is scheduled to start on 07/27/2026 and runs through 11/15/2026, requiring flexibility to meet the needs of the unit and patient care.

Job Details:

• Location: Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, 72 Beekman St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901
• Position: Emergency Room RN
• Shift: 12-hour Night shifts
• Schedule: Monday to Sunday, bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• Assignment End Date: 11/15/2026
• Required Qualifications:
  • 1 year of ER experience
  • Valid New York State RN license or proof of application with applied date (licensing may take 6-8 weeks)
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (must be active or proof of class prior to start), NIHSS (required prior to starting)
  • EPIC experience from within the past 2 years
• Additional Information:
  • Public transportation is not accessible; reliable transportation is recommended.
  • Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
  • No block schedules; ability to work the scheduled shifts is essential.
  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
  • Complete work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) are required for submission.
  • Candidate must be available for all scheduled shifts and comply with holiday requirements.
  • The professional has confirmed understanding of floating requirements within scope of practice and is prepared to accept the assignment.
