Description
Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, Wisconsin. This role provides nursing care for critically ill newborns and infants and supports families across the continuum of care, from admission through discharge. Care is focused on high-acuity neonatal needs in a Level IV NICU setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Day/Night coverage is required from 7:00am7:30pm, Monday through Friday, and 23 weekends per 6-week schedule may be required.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact; Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)* (if listed); completion of experience requirements including a minimum of 2 years of total NICU III/IV experience with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU (Level III and Level IV experience may be combined to reach the 2-year total, with a minimum of 1 year required in Level IV NICU); experience caring for post-op patients and managing g-tubes and tracheostomy/ventilation care; experience with various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS*
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
