Job Summary: Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Asheville, NC. This role supports a Rapid Response team in the CV Pre-Op area, providing high-acuity patient care and assisting with preoperative preparation and transport to the operating setting. The position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule and requires strong critical thinking, independent work capability, and clear communication with an interdepartmental team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday (M-F) 05001330; 40 hours per week.
• On Call: Stay late 12 times per week may be required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); critical care experience (required); ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient area; strong critical thinking; excellent communication skills with an interdepartmental team.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pre-Op experience.
• Preferred Skills/Experience: BCMA and excellent documentation.
• Responsibilities: Provide preoperative and rapid response support in a high-acuity patient area; perform large-bore intravenous starts; assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement; complete chin-to-toe hair removal; administer medications; perform skin assessment; transport patients to the operating setting; assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin preparation; maintain accurate documentation.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Additional Information: Medical equipment used includes GE Carescape Monitoring and Fuji ultrasound.
• Start Date: 06/23/2026.
