Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality patient care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed and maintaining accurate, timely documentation. The role also includes supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while supporting a safety-focused environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required prior to first shift for CIRH); minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience; ICU experience; current RN licensure (license must be brought on the first day).
• Additional Information:
  • Performs nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and uses the collected data to develop an individualized plan of care.
  • Provides patient information and status in a timely manner for Initial Team Conference and weekly re-evaluation team conferences.
  • Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching beginning on the day of admission.
  • Provides direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, including delegation and prioritization of care.
  • Assumes charge responsibility following the orientation period as requested.
  • Maintains communication with the manager and senior nursing staff regarding service needs such as supplies, equipment, and clinical training.
