Description

Job Summary
Operating Room First Assist Open Heart (Operating Room, CSFA) Lafayette, Indiana. The healthcare provider will serve as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) within the operating room, supporting thoracic cases and assisting as needed for vascular and open heart procedures. The role includes the ability to scrub for a variety of surgical specialties and function as a CSFA and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) depending on case requirements. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days (7:00 AM5:30 PM), MondayFriday with rotating day off; 10 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA); Basic Life Support (BLS); Nerve Block Standard for Surgical Assistance (NBSTSA) certification; experience as a First Assist to scrub in thoracic cases; ability to scrub for vascular and open heart cases and additionally scrub other cases as needed; at least 3 years of experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Robotics training
  • Call Requirements: Weekday and weekend call requirements
