Job Summary: Asheville, North Carolina Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor (MS Ortho)
The organization is seeking a qualified healthcare professional for a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor position. This role supports inpatient orthopedic care in a fast-paced environment, assisting with common unit procedures and patient needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active North Carolina license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to support patient care on a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor.
- Preferred Qualifications: Hospital experience and/or orthopedic experience.
- Responsibilities: Perform or assist with dressing changes and suture/staple removal; support care involving Foley catheter and NG tubes; assist with wound vac maintenance and removal; adapt to a fast-paced environment; demonstrate teamwork and a patient-centered care like family approach.
- Additional Information: Floating to other Med-Surg units may be required. Every other weekend shifts are required. Dress code: RNsnavy scrubs; PCTsgalaxy blue scrubs; LPNssage green scrubs. Unit equipment may include walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM, sky lifts, Sara Stedy/Sara Lift, Maxi Move, vital sign machines, hover mats, bair huggers, and wheelchairs.
