Description

Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse Concord, North Carolina
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurses provide bedside care in an emergency department setting. This role supports patients across a range of urgent and critical conditions, including trauma and stroke presentations. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift; weekend rotation every other with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
    • Education/Training: Emergency Department (ED) RN experience as specified by the posting (2 years ED exp)
  • Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide emergency nursing care for patients requiring interventions such as fluid resuscitation and/or blood products
    • Support care for trauma and stroke patients, as well as other acute presentations including chest pain, cardiac concerns, respiratory illnesses, GI disorders and infections, AKI/CKD, and mental health needs
    • Demonstrate skill in cardiac rhythm interpretation and critical care infusion support (including critical care drips)
    • Perform and/or assist with procedures including PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, and blood administration
    • Support emergency department care needs including coordination with available department teams (CNA, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, IV/VAT team, RT, hospitalist, and ED physicians)
  • Additional Information:
    • Float expectations may be required to other facilities within the region as needed and within scope of practice.
    • Orientation includes NEO with 2 days of departmental orientation.
    • No call is listed for travelers.
    • Holiday expectations indicate travelers will work 75% of holidays.
    • Scrub color: navy. Parking is free.
    • RTO can be approved up to 6 days off (excluding holidays); additional time may be required at the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.
