Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (Sterile Processing) San Pedro, CA. The role is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing returned reusable medical and surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation to ensure items are returned operable and ready for use. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: DaysSaturday through Wednesday (off Thursday and Fridays), 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California (CA) state license in hand; Basic Life Support (BLS); International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) certification; minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience; ability to perform aseptic technique and sterile processing tasks including assembling instrumentation and supplies using count sheets and packaging items in accordance with sterilization technique.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Endoscopy and/or experience in an acute care setting; Trauma level I experience; Trauma level II experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between facilities within a state.
• On-Call: Rotating weekends/holidays/shifts may be required.
• Additional Information: May be required to float to another facility within the same state. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD).
