Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care is sought for a position in San Francisco, California. The role involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment, managing patients with various medical emergencies, including trauma and cerebrovascular accidents. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: San Francisco, California
- Shift Hours: 12-hour variable shifts
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: California RN license; BSN degree; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); RN with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience; previous travel assignment; completed references must be in hand at time of submission; ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center; continuous intravenous (IV) sedation experience; triage experience; trauma level I and level II center experience; travel experience; teaching hospital background; experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Additional Information: Must be able to care for ventilated patients, interpret cardiac dysrhythmias, manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NHI PALS, CPI* (Crisis Prevention Institute).
- Schedule: 12-hour variable shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Submittal Requirements: Completed references from most recent employer; two references needed at time of submittal.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccine and booster are required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
