Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) position is located in Cortez, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting. Candidates must hold their nursing license and bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a focus on patient safety, clinical competence, and effective communication to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. Current state Registered Nurse Licensure within Colorado; Compact license accepted; Colorado license must be obtained within first 90 days of hire. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification (excludes Fetal Brain Condition); Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification; Successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year ICU/Inpatient experience.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include caring for patients from newborns to end of life, understanding telemetry monitoring, basic arrhythmia interpretation, and maintaining strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. The nurse may float to other units if needed and should be comfortable with rapid assessment and intervention in a dynamic environment.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
