Description
Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Phoenix, Arizona. This role focuses on bed management by placing patients on the appropriate units and assigning appropriate beds using established workflows. Candidates must bring their RN license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12 hours, 3 days a week (6:30 AM7:00 AM); minimum 36.0 hours per week. Weekend requirements include 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period (Days: Saturday and Sunday; Nights: Friday and Saturday). Holiday coverage may be required based on operational need.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license (license required at submission); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; recent acute care experience (recent acute care experience required; 2 years preferred, and prior assignments should not be primarily skilled nursing facility (SNF)); experience with TeleTracking and Cerner; strong computer skills (experience with Zoom and Google applications preferred); ability to multitask with strong customer service skills; knowledge of different hospital departments/units (for example, MedSurg vs. Tele).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Zoom and Google applications.
- Additional Information: This position has zero hands-on patient care. Responsibilities include assigning beds to match bed requests, using critical thinking skills when an order/bed request does not align with the requested unit, and communicating concerns to charge or leadership at the hospital. Work is performed using multiple applications (including TeleTracking and Cerner) and several Google applications/communication tools. Coverage includes unit and department orientation consisting of 1 day of general hospital orientation and 35 days of department orientation (training may be completed on any shift).
- Submission Requirements: RN license submission is required.
