Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in King City, California. The candidate will independently implement the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care across various hospital departments. This role involves providing break relief and supplemental staffing in Emergency, Medical Surgical, Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing departments. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of assignment.

• Experience: Minimum of one year acute care experience within the past two years; 6 months recent experience in Emergency or Critical Care setting is required
• Licensing Requirements: Current unencumbered California RN License
• Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Languages: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly minimum
• Additional Information:
  • Volunteers must demonstrate clinical competency and maintain proof of such to ensure consistent patient care quality.
  • Candidate submissions should be sent with completed compliance documentation in a single batch.
  • Trauma level experience of 1-3 and teaching hospital experience are preferred.
  • EMR experience in Epic, Cerner, and Meditech is preferred.
  • The position requires acceptance of floating within scope of practice and understanding of operational expectations.
  • Housing options in the area include Keefers Inn King City and Greenfield Village Apartments.
  • Billing will be handled weekly, with an all-inclusive shift rate applicable for 10-hour or 12-hour shifts.
