Job Summary:
An Operating Room First Assist Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in open heart procedures is needed in Lewiston, Maine. This role offers the opportunity to work in a community hospital setting, providing advanced cardiovascular surgical care. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The position is scheduled to start on July 1, 2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Lewiston, ME
• Specialty: Operating Room First Assist Open Heart

• Shift: 7:00AM to 4:30PM (Flexible schedule with 4x10 or 5x8 shifts)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: RN License, BLS Certification, 2 years of experience in Circulating CVOR, Aseptic Technique, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient, outpatient, trauma, vascular, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, atrial septal defect repair, ventricular assist device (VAD)
• Float: Float rotation may be required, particularly for general operating room cases
• Additional Information:
  • Call Requirements: 15 days a month, including two weekends of call plus weekday call
  • Work setting: Community hospital with 25 beds
  • Patient population: Adults, Geriatrics
  • Equipment: DaVinci surgical system
